A su vez, notamos que no es maximal, pues la imagen de $f$ posee elementos no invertibles (notar que las unidades de $\mathbb{Z}[\sqrt 2]$ son los elementos de norma 1, i.e aquellos elementos $a+b\sqrt{2}$ que satisfacen $|a^2 - 2b^2| = 1$). Sea $\mathfrak{m}$ ideal maximal de $\mathbb{Z}[X]$ conteniendo a $\text{ker}(f)$.
